Mission and Vision

What Is Your Mission?

The Mission and Vision of Edyn Real Estate.

When a new company is starting out, it is a good idea for them they to define their Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs.

Many modern business books talk about the importance of culture and environment that a  organization provides. John Maxwell, Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, and Jim Collins are just some of the authors of books that have helped us recognize the importance of culture, leadership, service and environment in a healthy, productive workplace.

 What Is Your Vision?

We at Edyn Real Estate are much more concerned in the “HOW we are going to conduct our business?” and “WHY we are in business?” than just “where can we get business?” or “how much business can we get?”.

Those are some of the questions we are asking to determine our mission and vision. We have also been inspired by Trulia’s culture, Google’s culture, Ritz-Carlton, and Keller Williams.

We are planning on a small get away soon to figure out what is really important to us as we move this business venture forward. We want to be free from distractions and focused on the process. Different backgrounds, bring different experiences. Different experience, brings different ideas. Different ideas mean everyone needs to keep an open mind and communication needs to be clear.

As we have been researching and trying to define what Edyn is about, we have looked at many real estate websites, looking to see what our competition’s mission and vision are. We are hard pressed to find any. Do some research for yourself around the major real estate brokerages.

Do’s it matter to you what the Mission, Vision and Values of a company are? What if you work for the company?

  • Team Edyn,

Thank you! It’s awesome to see Trulia listed amongst such an impressive list of companies, especially in the context of corporate culture and values!
I just wanted to add how important it is for us, as a start up, to have a clearly defined company culture. We are constantly looking to hire great talent, and as we grow, it’s critical to communicate this (pass the torch as it were) to all new hires! I personally make a point to educate each individual on our BOFFI culture as part of the recruiting process, with the understanding that they then will carry those ideals into their work day, which (quite frankly) reminds all of us why we all work as hard as we do!

  • Daniel,

Thank’s for the comment. I have spent a bit of time with Kelly and Sami and was most impressed. What attracts me to the Trulia culture is that you are both serving the real estate industry and the real estate consumer. We feel that this will also be our role.
